Crossring Ministries

Welcome to the website of Crossring Ministries, an aspect of Communities Worldwide.

We are an evangelical Christian organisation that aims to develop and nurture Christian communities worldwide.  Our primary project is the Crossring.com website.

We are currently developing two new projects, details of which can be found on the About page.

Additionally, we maintain an occasional blog with news of the latest developments at Crossring Ministries and the Crossring.com website.

Crossring Ministries is an independent evangelical Christian organisation.  We have two core aims:

• To develop and nurture Christian communities across the globe, building mutually supportive groups of like-minded people;
• To provide Biblically-focused resources to support Christians and Christian communities.

Crossring Ministries currently has one active project, with two further projects due for launch in 2010.

Crossring: An Online Christian Community

Our key project is the Crossring.com website.  Billed as “An Online Christian Community,” Crossring was founded in 2000, and, after a period off line, was relaunched in 2009.  There are five main areas to Crossring:

• Crossring Daily Reading – a simple, quick-to-read feature based around a very short of scripture each day to complement personal devotion;
• Crossring Articles – longer, more in depth articles encompassing Bible studies, testimonies, inspirational pieces of writing and more;
• Crossring Reviews – reviews of Christian resources, such as books and websites, as well as items of Christian interest in the cultural world, such as films, novels and music albums.
• Crossring Drama – a repository of short sketches made freely available for use at churches, schools and youth groups.
• Crossring Discussion – a section of the site in which all registered users are welcome to kick off discussion, share anecdotes or jokes, or just chat.

Crossring receives thousands of visitors from around the world and aims to build a community of Christians who reflect on and discuss the Bible.

Crossring Publications

Since 2000, Crossring.com has amassed over 130,000 words of original content.  We pride ourselves on the fact that this material has not for the most part been written by people with years of theological training, but by ordinary Christians.  We therefore believe that our content has the benefit of being an honest view of the Bible and the Christian life.

Crossring is currently exploring ways of making this content available to a wider audience.  We are therefore investigating a range of options that will hopefully result in Crossring content being available in more traditional book form, and marketed throughout the UK and the USA in book form.

Crossring Live

Since a central aim of Crossring Ministries is to develop Christian communities, we are aiming to hold our first real-world event soon.  This will not only provide many members of our online community with the opportunity to meet each other face to face, but will also provide an excellent opportunity to worship together and to grow and learn together.  We therefore hope that our event will focus on Biblical teaching sessions and opportunities to sing together, as well as more relaxed opportunities to meet together and share experiences over a drink.
